"Staying with Maximus at Seabay Resort was a true delight. It’s not luxury in the European way, but the kind of luxury that really matters: peace, simplicity, and genuine care. Our apartment was spotless and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the endless sea and direct access to the beach. Every morning, Maximus spoiled us with a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. "We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"It's a beautiful property- the room and facilities were great. The dinner was delicious and extremely generous- Rum and wine included as well. Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"Gorgeous view from the apartment! There's a big window showing the beautiful mountains below. Beautiful interior design throughout!! The host was also very friendly 🌷 Buiilt as a compact studio apartment with a large bed, all beautifully designed. Next door there's a room that serves as a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and capsule coffee machine. Lots of attractions nearby - Nimrod Fortress, Hermon Mountain site and cable car, Tel Dan, Ghajar village and Banias National Park."

Fortunately we travelled with a 4x4 wheel drive car -- a must-have to negotiate the steep roads in the village.

"We traveled on our bicycles and Highland lodge was the perfect stop between Afriski and Mokhontlong. Rooms were very large and so clean. Bed was very large and comfy. Staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend 👌🏼"

We would have enjoyed a desert after our dinner but it was not so important.

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Watercolours between the 17-24 December 2025 and would thoroughly recommend it! The hosts are wonderful, remarkably kind and hospitable - they made our first experience of Bermuda very special, adding a touch of magic to a much needed break. Watercolours is a beautiful home, very tastefully decorated, with the guest rooms luxurious and well appointed. Much thought and consideration has gone into making sure every need is met, so that it really feels like a home from home. Also helpful advice about where to go and how to get there with bus/ferry tickets available to purchase from the host rather than having the hassle of buying these from the bus station. We were so fortunate to have booked this place - it was outstanding in every way!"

"Superb experience at Camping Mittagsspitze. Lovely little bungalow perfect for our needs with good, clean facilities. Pool was wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed by my 8 year old. Location is fantastic by the mountains; really amazing views. Would stay again. Thanks!"

We loved hanging out by the pool, with a lovely view down to the ocean and also spending time on the porch of our casita. The porch doubled the size of the living space and we enjoyed being out there especially in the mornings and the evening. This is a beautiful property that is very tranquil and relaxing. Jessica took great cafe of us and was a wonderful host. Highly recommend."

We loved sleeping with the ceiling fan at night. Cross ventilation would be really helpful and a fan in the kitchen. It could get really hot in the kitchen area. Otherwise, we loved this property and it was nice to get up into the hills and away from the beach at night. Truly and unique and special property.
