"It was perfectly positioned for our exploration of local vineyards - even in walking distance. The gite is so spacious & relaxed, we really felt at home. The breakfast provided for us to serve ourselves was plenty & easy. Not flash but really good & suited us perfectly."

"We stayed for 3 nights, attending a wedding in Saussignac. We had an amazing stay at B&B La Viderente, the host greeted us on arrival, and even got up early to say goodbye as we left, she is lovely! The accommodation is spacious, clean, and has all the facilities you would need for a stay. Breakfast was lovely, fresh bread, and scones, with butter, and jam provided, as well as milk and cereal, coffee machine, and tea. The property is set in a beautiful garden, which has a private pool, lots of lovely plants and flowers, an incredibly well maintained garden. The pool was great to cool down in the heat, with deck chairs to have a nice relax by the pool, their is also a nice shaded area outside where you can sit and eat outside if you want. The location is perfect, just a short journey in the car from Bergerac, and walking distance into Suassignac. We would definitely stay again, thanks very much! Matt & Jen"

"The breakfast was very good. It was located in large hall in a different area of the domaine. There was a painting and a write up about the owner in the 17th century.....this made us to visit the main château de Brézé on our journey back to the UK. Very pleased to have done so. It was also a new experience to stay in a roulotte surrounded by fields......"

"Two storey cottage in host's garden, restored. Large bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and large living area on ground floor, with comprehensive kitchen equipment. We cooked every evening, as it was a 15 minute walk to the town centre, and the local buses, though free in Niort for everyone including visitors, and we were close to the bus stops, they stop running at 20.00. The swimming pool was a bonus, as the weather became very hot, and we ate in the garden. A friendly cat enhanced our peaceful visit. Although garden is shared, there are separate areas for sitting and dining. The extremely friendly and helpful host lives on the property in their own house. He offered, and then drove us to Niort railway station. Very kind."
