"After slight difficulty locating the property (which is in a beautiful medieval town with little roads, so perhaps not surprising), we received a very warm welcome from Bernard who was very helpful as well. The house was lovely, very old and a bit quirky, with a few low beams and creaky floorboards, and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the home-made banana bread and jams. (Also had a delicious meal at the nearby bistro L'Embuscade.)"

"The decor and welcome we received were exceptional. Our room with its separate seating area and own staircase in a converted barn was very tastefully furnished and the bed extremely comfortable . Breakfast was delicious and copious. Our host Bernard could not have been more helpful , recommending restaurants and places to visit ."

"Bernard and Armille were fabulous hosts. We arrived and was warmly welcomed, our room had everything we needed and they were helpful regarding the area. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We booked dinner for the first night which was lovely and just what we needed after a day's travelling. I mentioned beforehand that I was a vegetarian with a nut allergy and they went to effort to provide a great meal. We felt as if we were staying with friends not hosts of the B&B. Highly recommend!"

"A delightful, comfortable and characterful 2 night stay in a traditional French village house. The patron Bernard was most welcoming and hospitable and he and his wife provided a delicious dinner of local produce. Altogether an excellent chambers d’hotes experience to be highly recommended."

"The hotel offers good value for money, they also offer an evening meal between 7 and 8 pm there is also a bar. Breakfast is typical French warm croissants, coffee, breads, cheeses cold meats etc. Parking is easy with electric vehicle charging points. An ideal stay in the summer with the river and country walk on the door step."

"The hosts were fantastic. Breakfast basics provided and some lovely eggs from the free-range chickens who roam the beautiful grounds. The accommodation was superb. The house was tastefully furnished and fully equipped down to the freshly laundered bath robes. The view from the balcony and main bedroom was breathing. The beds were comfy, and the shower catered easily with four adults in succession. The covered area under the house is where we ate most meals. It was nice and cool in the shade, and had that same great view. The addition of deck chairs made it a relaxing place to chill-out with drinks and books. Also had a bbq. The ground level deck had two comfy loungers to lie on and soak in the sun. The village was lovely place for a stroll. It had a great bakery, bar and shop. Everybody was friendly. We used the Le Jardin Des Dunes restaurant a couple of times, which we would recommend."

"The staff in the hotel and across the whole resort have been so lovely, helpful and informative. This is by far the friendliest resort we've been to across France. The food was great. Raclette one night was really cool. The room was very comfortable and practically equipped. The communal areas comfortable and inviting inc. the bar, food hall, balcony and spar. The spar area was a real treat with a huge hot tub with views of the mountains. Skiing straight from the door felt really luxurious for such a reasonable price. We even got powder on 2 days. The mixture of slopes and lifts were great for our 5yr old and his skiing really came on a lot. I couldn't praise the hotel and Les Karellis ski resort enough."
