"We had a one night stop over having arrived in Calais quite late. Unfortunately the hotel was locked up and it took a while to wake the owner. Our fault completely. He could have been really rude/grumpy and refused us entry but was lovely (although he didn't speak English and we little French). We apologised profusely. The room was very large and spacious as was the bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, very traditional French so don't expect a cup! The only fault was no towels for the shower. I had brought one so it wasn't a problem and due to the language I didn't try and ask for one. I am sure it would not have been a problem. Would definitely recommend. Lovely place, Lovely people. Very good location."
