"Exceptional rustic character and very cosy… Superb hosts."

"This charming little castle was a real highlight for an overnight stay during our journey. Parking was very easy and convenient. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast: tasty, well-prepared, and more than enough. The peaceful surroundings ensured an excellent night’s sleep. Our dog was immediately welcome and could walk around on the grounds with ease. If we’re ever passing through again, we would definitely stay here once more. Small tip: bring some cash if you’d like to have dinner at the castle - it makes things easier. Although payment by bank transfer is also possible."

"It’s relatively close to the autoroute towards Limoges & the Dordogne but you cannot hear a thing and it really feels like it’s in deepest rural France. The dark sky & stars at night were unbelievable! The current owners are the 5th generation so don’t expect a grand luxury chateau renovated at vast expense - this is still a genuine family home, full of mementos and nic-nacks."

"Fantastic rural French Manor House set in beautiful surroundings. Great to have a good sized swimming pool, especially welcome for a 2 night stopover while travelling to the south of France."

"This wonderful property is ideally situated near the motorway. This historic house is set in beautiful parkland and offers overnight accommodation suitable for couples and families. Swimming in the pool at 7.30 am on a beautiful July morning was perfect. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. A perfect location for an overnight stay and also for exploring the region. The table d’hote dinner was excellent value."
