Maison La Source

"We were greeted by the very excited little doggy called Oscar! HE made us feel so happy when we arrived. The house is everything we could have imagined and much more! The location, the decor, the family, it was one of our most cherished holidays. We were looking for a chilled environment and we certainly got this. We sat out side every evening watching the sun set over the vineyards it was idyllic. THe house is furnished to a very high standard. The beds and the bed linen were all premium quality. Don’t be afraid that there is no a/c. We went with 10 of us in the middle of August and were dreading being too hot but the house is made of stone and somehow stayed cool all day and evening. We had freshly laid barn eggs every single day which was such a treat. I loved THe second bedroom because it has a dressing room that I made mine for the 2 weeks. I felt like a queen."

"We, as we are younger, and 2 children did not have any issues but my elderly parents could not enjoy time at the swimming pool because it was quite difficult for them to get to. So just be aware of that if you have a mobility issue and wanted to swim"

"Beautiful house in stunning scenery. Lovely salt water pool in the middle of the vineyard. We booked Maison La Source without much research so had little expectations. It turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Thank you so much for welcoming us and for the fascinating wine tour. We will be back!"

"The attic bedrooms are especially hot, but fans etc are available. We were staying in a heatwave as well!"

"The house is beautiful, recently renovated, and very spacious and comfortable. The area is super scenic, right in the middle of vineyards, and super quiet, but so many places to visit nearby like St Emillion, Bordeaux and of course many vineyards and chateaux. Jan was a fantastic host and made us feel at home right from the start."

"We would have liked a few more games / toys around the house for younger children, like a swing, beach ball, stuff to play with in the garden."

"La maison est très agréable, on s'y est sentie vraiment bien. Il ne manque rien. L'accueil de Laura était très chaleureux et Oscar ( le petit chien) était très amical avec nous. Nous avons passé un très beau week-end aux couleurs de l'automne. Ah oui, la campagne autour est magnifique, très belles promenades à faire."
