"The views were amazing"

"We decided on booking somewhere with use of a hot tub. When we arrived there was nobody there to great us and show us the property. The pictures are very misleading as it looks like the hot tub is close to the cabin but its no where near it. Not only that but it wasnt even ready for use with no information providing on booking.com or the website for the property. After requesting use of the hot tub we were then told by lely in a text that the hot tub was down for maintenance. Obviously we werent happy as it is in a remote place and thats the only reason we booked. After calling lely she informed us that a part was needed and it would be at least 2 weeks before it is ready. We then decided to look elsewhere and request a refund. Unfortunatley it was 4 hours before the owner mickey contacted me. By then with not alot of time to decide what to do and having an 11 year old who was expecting to use a hot tub we had already moved to a hotel in ballybofey. Mickey on that call insisted that the hot tub would have been made available but it was on request as it was seasonal, however after explaining, he came across sympathetic to our situation and had agreed to a refund. Within minutes he went to the booking.com app and cancelled the refund request and wrote in the chat that the hot tub is available. Which is lies. Even if there was no part needed to repair the hot tub, it takes time to heat and add chemicals to amke it ready for use, so when would we have got use of it on the sarurday. It absolutley crazy that booking.com sided with this a refused the refund. He knows that we have moved on and even though i sent him the message that we got from lely his attidude completley changed. I would strongly recommened against booking the cabin due to the misleading pictures and the lies the owner told us. Also the pictures give the impression its all one cabin. Its not."

"The location was great, plenty of places to eat and close to a gorgeous quiet beach! Beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. It heated up in ten minutes. The view was amazing! It was a lovely relaxing couple of days! We definitely hope to return again!"

"Only thing that wasn't exactly clear is the hot tub being chargeable.. not a massive charge. 20 euro for duration of our stay if we wanted but due to us only staying two nights it wasn't exactly worth it. The toilet that is on the outside of the property could use a clean but there is one inside the property which was perfectly clean."

"In the description there says hot tub but we didn't have one which is very misleading and as the owner didn't mention one I assumed the hot tub on their description is a lie. The general cleanliness was not great it looked like the owners would only give a quick clean, I think we cleaned the property more than the owners, there were cobwebs in the corners everywhere. The bathroom the bedroom and the living area. The second bedroom with bunk beds needs to be looked at maybe a refurb as there is a stench of mould and we could not use it as this would be harmful to our young baby. The layout of the cabins isn't great. We thought we were getting one cabin but the living area and sleeping areas are completely separate which wasn't what we were led to believe. The door in the bedroom didn't lock so whilst leaving the cabin for day trips we had to take all our valuables with us which isn't ideal. The owners dog came down from their property and took a poo on our decking which isn't great as we have a baby and one less area to play. The remote in the bedroom wasn't compatible with the TV and didn't work, we did check the batteries which wasn't the problem so that will need looked at. There was no coffee provided and there were only 3 teabags which are really stingy for a 2 night stay. We have stayed in a lot of log cabins over the years and the rustic log cabin is the worst by far. Fair to say that we will never be coming to stay at the property. I'm really really disappointed. If these changes are made it could be really good but by looking at previous reviews (which I wished I looked at before booking) we can see that they have always had these problems with the rustic log cabin but they don't take this into consideration so I doubt anything will change."
