"Information leakage by Booking.com portal leading to receipt of Spam mails and WhatsApp messages f rom fraudsters posing as Guest Relations Manager and asking to validate credit card details by clicking on suspicious link. Thankfully the hotel authorities confirmed that there was no issue with payment made by me and advised me to ignore the Spam mail. They also conveyed that many other guests who had used the Booking.com portal had faced similar Spam mails and WhatsApp messages."
