"The staff and facilities were really great. The pool area is beautiful and the food is really tasty. I loved that they incorporated a lot of sri Lankan elements as decor. The room I stayed in was very spacious and super clean."

"You can’t really swim in the ocean because of angry big waves, so you have to take a tuktuk to nearby beach."

"Evening dinner and breakfasts were delicious. Large comfortable bedroom well equipped and particularly liked the pillow menu. No cut off times for breakfast which meant you could take brunch whenever you fancied. Whilst there is little around the hotel, it’s so peaceful through the day and Tuktuks are cheap and readily available to take you to nearby towns when you feel a change of scene required. All staff we encountered were brilliant."

"Whilst breakfast was delicious, there was no variation throughout our stay. Hotel bar lacked atmosphere and was more like a pool bar ie OK to use for a daytime drink."

"Great staff, great pool and wonderful food. We never bored of any of them. The staff were without exception friendly, interested and helpful and we miss them already. The pool was vast and very clean with very helpful pool staff. The food was an excellent mix of western and Asian with enough variety to keep us invested for the 8 weeks we stayed at the hotel. The gardens are particularly lovely with a very nice walk around the edge of the lagoon - plenty of wildlife if you wish."

"Beautiful, spacious quiet room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Great food in an attractive dining room. Chicken pot pie was a rare treat. Fresh buffalo curd was sourced from the south. I liked the location because the following day I walked the quiet back road to Galaha. Beautiful."
