"excellent breakfast, efficient staff, nice location to visit Gent and other places. Good selection of restaurants nearby whereby the owner assisted in providing the available options. Linnen was good including the towels."

The showerhead is located halfway through the shower cubicle which meant that a lot of water came inside the bathroom while taken a shower. The ventilator didn't operate in the bathroom which meant that a small window was left open in the bathroom for ventilation. The drawback was ingress of mosquitoes into the room/bathroom. The lighting in the room could be enhanced, often we felt that the room was too dark.

"The place and outlook are very nice on the vulcano, from room and from jacuzzi :) The secret hike trail is very nice and should not be missed (Mariposa trail?). Jacuzzi is also very nice extra."

Breakfast could be a little more. You can choose from a menu. It was good, but an additional side or some bread would be nice. The street to the hotel could better maintained.

"What an awesome place! Middle of the jungle with a great pool, nice coctails and nice food. The staf was very nice and went above and beyond to help us. We forgot some luggage and they helped us retreiving it. So nice!"

"Lodge was great with comfortable room, excellent buffet dining room facility and small swimming pool to cool off in between excursions. The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!"

Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"We stayed here for one week, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was honestly amazing. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it feels very peaceful. We also rented a car, and the drive to Apia wasn’t too far, so it was very convenient. Overall, everything was perfect. We had an amazing time, and we definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to Samoa. Highly recommended! "Haiko is a wonderful person who welcomed us upon arrival at the lodge and provided us with excellent directions to the island's beaches and restaurants/bars. The property is strategically located for reaching both the stunning northern beaches and Arikok National Park. We appreciated the lush vegetation surrounding the lodges and the chirping birds that accompanied us during breakfast. Each lodge respects privacy and is equipped with all the amenities, making it a delightful stay."
