"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

I found the bed a little uncomfortable and i would prefer 2 pillows per person. The driveway is steep...a little intimidating for us Europeans! But we had a 4 wheel drive so we were fine.

"スタッフの方が、お迎えからすべて優しく気配りしてくれて安心して過ごせました。 ラクダ乗りや乗馬では、たくさん写真を撮ってくれて、とっても上手に撮ってくれて思い出の写真が出来ました。"

シャワーがトイレと一緒で、お湯がぬるま湯だったので、きちんとしたシャワー室があったら、もっと快適に過ごせると思いました。

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

Room was a little bit smelly but it wasn’t a huge issue for us

"We stayed here for one week, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was honestly amazing. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it feels very peaceful. We also rented a car, and the drive to Apia wasn’t too far, so it was very convenient. Overall, everything was perfect. We had an amazing time, and we definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to Samoa. Highly recommended! "Very comfortable room, although close to main road no significant road noise. Lovely setting at edge of town with immediate access for cycle or walking in fields behind. Staff very helpful and food good value for hotel facilities. Ample breakfast included too. They offer excursions but we did not try due to lack of time. Hotel arranged transfer to airport which was perfect."

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.

"Amazing pool! Great staff always around to help if you need anything. You feel like you’re in the bush with a lovely view of Lion Rock from our treehouse balcony. Within walking distance to both rocks and some local restaurants just down the road. Breakfasts were good."

Possibly a bit overpriced for the very basic accomodation.

"オアシスからホテル迄の道は細く砂の未舗装ですが、普通の車でも問題なく通れますので安心して下さい。お部屋は簡素ですが、熱いシャワーも出ますし、クーラーも効いてます。数回の停電がありましたが、5分くらいで復旧しました。夕飯がとても美味しくて、チュニジア伝統料理を楽しめました。ラクダツアーもフロントでお願いできます。チェックアウトの時、お土産まで頂きました。とても親切なスタッフに感謝です。"

タオルが薄い。　プールはやはり使えなかった。
