"We stayed here for one week, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was honestly amazing. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it feels very peaceful. We also rented a car, and the drive to Apia wasn’t too far, so it was very convenient. Overall, everything was perfect. We had an amazing time, and we definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to Samoa. Highly recommended! "Thank you for a wonderful stay at La Vielle, the setting was stunning, our cottage tranquil and gorgeous, and the staff so friendly and accomodating. We loved walking the trails, visiting the plunge pool with the amazing vista, and the food was excellent. The best place I've stayed in Mauritius."

The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

A few additions to dry your clothes or towels after the beach would be nice.

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"Perfect location, next to ski slope. Amazing place for skiers/ snowboarders, however you can reach it only directly from slope (but it makes stay even better) we could leave backpakcs at reception, and ski until checking. Stuff is very friendly and helpful."

"Honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. Great location- 10 minutes away from The 7 Rila lakes, food was amazing, the itslef place was soo cozy and welcoming. Host was also amazing, very friendly, talked to us, gave us advice about our upcoming trip to the lakes, very sweet. 10/10 if youre looking for a relaxing place with a spirit!"

"Lovely location, if you have a car. Sitting up high with a lovely view out over the lake.clean and very traditional cottages."

"Amazing pool! Great staff always around to help if you need anything. You feel like you’re in the bush with a lovely view of Lion Rock from our treehouse balcony. Within walking distance to both rocks and some local restaurants just down the road. Breakfasts were good."

Possibly a bit overpriced for the very basic accomodation.

"I had an excellent stay at Top Lodge, certainly, an improvement from my previous stays here. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring a warm welcome and attentive service throughout. The lodge itself was impeccably clean, and the pool area provided a perfect spot for relaxation. Additionally, the breakfast served at Top Lodge was simply delicious, and filling. Overall, I highly recommend Top Lodge for its friendly staff, cleanliness, delicious breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and inviting pool area."
