"We stayed here for one week, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was honestly amazing. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it feels very peaceful. We also rented a car, and the drive to Apia wasn’t too far, so it was very convenient. Overall, everything was perfect. We had an amazing time, and we definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to Samoa. Highly recommended! "Lodge was great with comfortable room, excellent buffet dining room facility and small swimming pool to cool off in between excursions. The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!"

Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

"Great and unusual stay! Because is non tourist season, most of places near were closed, but owner kindly suggested to us where we can enjoy food - place Ataman, with kind woman i house athmosfer. Super clean place, amazing view, birds, and parking - everything for the trip on wild nature. They also have very cute cat if you love animals 😊 Forest near, lake, we really enjoyed walking around."

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

The log cabin accommodation was warm, comfortable and beautifully unique in the attention to detail, artistically designed carved wood, stretched leather, fur chair and stone framed mirror. Husky ride was fun learning about their training from friendly staff. Highly recommended for a comfortable and unique experience."

Couldn’t improve this stay it was excellent. Just wish I could have stayed longer.
