"Zara Village exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to access Lokobe, they even organised our guide. Our favourite was having cocktails by the infinity pool. This was definitely a highlight of our trip."

"Beautiful location, friendly staff. Its close to the Loboko Reserve which gives the stay a magical aspect of being so close to the jungle. Comfort could be a bit better as it could get very warm without airco and there were no mosquito nets over the bed. Overal good stay for 3 days."

"This place is amazing. From the moment you arrive on the boat is a whole experience. Gerard the owner and the rest of the staff are super friendly. Great food from the restaurant and good prices (many vegetarian and vegan options available very yummy and homemade). The view and facilities from the hotel are great, the garden amazingly well maintained and trees with lemurs around. Big rooms and very clean. Definitely recommended. Ps. Price for the boat to get there is extra 13 euros roundtrip per person."

"Right at the edge of Lokobe park, I could see lemurs right next to the hotel! Went for a walk to the park and it was wonderful. Manager ordered everything for me so all I had to do is pay and be on time. It is a beautiful place, secluded and private and very quiet. I will recommend it to all my friends as a must see place. The park was absolutely wonderful!!"

"Zara Village is a beautiful, secluded resort with a beautiful pool and a fantastic view. The food is freshly prepared and really delicious. Different activities, like guided tours to the Lokobe Nature Reserve can be directly booked with the resort. Also very fast internet."

"We loved that black lemurs came to a tree at the back of the property in the evening and that we could hear them and birds at night and in the morning. The pool was great and the location was perfect - a walk from the Lokobe Nature park. We went to the park with a guide from the hotel who was a sweet young man."

"They charged for the boat transfer to and from the hotel. That wasn't clear from the description. The meals were very good but expensive for Madagascar. Not much English is spoken. The manager had to endure my horrible French. :) Overall, a great experience but it added up to more (with the tour etc) than we anticipated."

"Breakfast and all meals were Amazing. Staff were incredible, kind and warm hearted. The attention to detail in the upkeep of the property was amazing. I've rarely found a better managed place. We saw lemurs every day, as well as Chameleons and other animals. They also have a wonderful pool and an incredible garden."
