"One of the best places we've ever stayed - one we will remember for a long time. The location is brilliant, close to all the key bits on the island with a stunning view of the volcano. The bungalow itself was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were absolutely fantastic - quick and clear communication and we felt so looked after especially with the taxi and scooter hookups. We adored the two beautiful dogs that came to visit every day and we were very grateful for the dog bowls that were provided so we could feed them. What a place!"
"We had a wonderful stay at casa frente al lago.
It was the perfect place to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of Ometepe and see all the animals pass by daily. We saw horses, cows, and pigs, it was really incredible to see, and our almost 4 year old loved it!
Being right on the lake brought beautiful views and you could listen to the waves falling asleep at night.
The facility was well laid out, clean, and has all the essentials. Ana, the host, was super communicative and helpful leading up to the booking and during our stay!
There's about 1km strech of road leading to the home where 4x4 would be beneficial, but we managed just fine in our family sedan.
I would recommend a stay at Casa Frente al Lago!"

"The place is stunning. An old coffee plantation colonial farm on the slope of vulcano madero, with a somewhat decadent charm with its large porch, wooden deck, hammocks, with wonderfull views. Vulcano concepcion on sight too. Beautifull sunset overlooking it. Just on the start to the hikes to the vulcano or the petroglifs or the coffee plantation experience. Do not expect modern commodities, its part if its charm sleeping in the wooden habitaciones and feel like you traveled in time. Its a must do."
