"We arrived late due to flight delays so it was lovely when we arrived to find a clean, tidy, warm and welcoming room. We were impressed with the small details like the selection of hot drinks to the excellent quality towels. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable ever out of the many motels that we’ve stayed. The decor was to a high standard and we loved how quiet it was. We highly recommend this beautiful motel."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
