"The lack of an extra bathroom, the outdoor toilet bulbs needed replacing, and the vacuum was out of charge. Found the charger which was in the outside toilet but was too late."

"I understand it is a farm. However, our stay at this farm house was still disappointing due to poor maintenance. There was a pipe leaking in the bathroom whenever the air conditioner was turned on, which caused the toilet area to flood. The kitchen cabinet door was damaged. The beds were uncomfortable and made noise with every movement, affecting our sleep. The upstairs area was extremely hot. We can not sleep there at all. Most concerning was a lifted timber plank in front of the kitchen door, which posed a serious safety hazard and almost caused my mother-in-law to trip. We did not find the washing machine."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
