"We arrived early, was greeted warmly. The room allocated to us had stairs, so we were allocated another option. I appreciated that. Overall everything was very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and a lot to choose from. The garden and scenery was special. We enjoyed our short stay."

"There was a discrepancy regarding the number of guests and pricing. While we understand the additional adult fee policy, the issue was only raised at checkout after the payment had already been processed. The booking total in the Booking.com system remained NZD 299.00, while a higher amount was charged directly without a visible reservation modification in the system. Clear communication and formal update within the platform at check-in would have avoided confusion."
"The environment, vibes and tasteful decor of the place were lovely, very peaceful and private. The owners are super friendly and thoughtful. At the yummy breakfast we had lots to choose from. The views are stunning and at night it was so quiet. Comfortable beds. The heated pool was an extra treat. 1 min drive to the local restaurant provided a great dinner. Akaroa is just 10 minutes drive."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
