"This is a great hostel, and the value-for-money was amazing. It’s a short walk from the SeaCoach ferry, and has a lovely balcony with a nice view of the sea. The dorm had a pedestal fan and air-conditioning, and the shower was good. Teo and the staff were great, and the area was lovely. A great place to stay in Freetown 😁"

"Run by a friendly British guy named Guy, this place feels like home—and honestly, there’s just no competition in town."

"There is a big basket for garbage outside of the kitchen but sometimes it would be nice to not having to go outside, especially without shoes which is customary here. So another one, or better yet, one in each room would be nice. Also, as a bonus, the staff would have something to do while not sleeping 🤪"

"I enjoyed a lot my stay at the hostel: amazing family atmosphere, staff, guests, environment. Booked 1 night, stayed 4. Comfortable bed, big room, air conditioning, power generator in case of city electricity black out, WiFi, great kitchen, towel, toilet paper, ... everything I would need. Shower, running water. Big common areas to connect with guests and staff. Helpful useful info from Guy, the owner, the staff, the other guests. Gorgeous view from the terrace. Close to shops and beaches."

"Guy and Theo will give you a warm welcome. The hostel is only a 10 minute walk from the seacoach terminal, has excellent A/C and is kept very clean. There are quite a few places to eat locally and at a mere 10usd per night is very reasonable indeed. I'll definitely be back to continue my West African trip and enjoy the wonderful view from the terrace again!"

"It was a good conversation before arrival. Sahr has us pick up at the ferry. It is difficult to find alone. But you can come to all places with KehKeh (Tuktuk). We have really enjoyed the stay by Sahr and his grandmother. Thank you so much"

"It’s indeed a home away from home, staffs were so kind and friendly felt like we’ve known each other for years 😊 I didn’t struggle for anything I needed, they were all super helpful, this guesthouse is very clean and neat, no flies, no mosquitoes it’s very safe and handy, electricity is 24hr just so amazing. The owner is in the UK Contact him before you get there he will make everything super easy for you, he is so so kind. My breakfast came pretty early with lots of love and was so delicious, I love love the experience will definitely go again and I highly recommend you will never regret"

"The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

"Very spacious apartments, good view to the sea, well furnished including living room and kitchen. Good location, there is an Indian and Chinese groceries stores nearby, the ferry to the airport and money exchange is walkable distance. The staff were super pleasant and helpful. They answered all of our questions, recommended places to go, helped to negotiate prices with taxi drivers, organized taxis, exchanged money. There also a decent restaurant nearby called El Greco"
