"Very nice location on the hill with spectacular views. Hostesses Malene was very nice and helpful!"

"Getting keys from the wall safe was easy. The place itself was lovely and quiet. Comfortable beds. Good heating. Nice small kitchen. Two bathrooms, one en-suite. Cosy living room. Good range of channels on the TV. Plus you are only a 10 minute walk from the Minster and old town, and only 20 minutes walk from the train station."

Weird smell coming from the kitchen cupboards under the sink.

"The hosts met us upon arrival and explained the house to us. They were very friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating, going that extra mile to make what was an already fabulous trip even more memorable. Having a private garden added to the experience. We really enjoyed our stay here."

"We liked everything! This can not be described by words. One must come and see the exceptionally beautiful nature of Mariovo, this village Zovich and the nearby village Staravina. The accomodation offered everything we needed, the host Mitko, his wife and mother were very friendly and helpful, they make extraordinary food in their restaurant, all fresh and of high quality. We will be back again!"

We really can not think of anything we did not like.

He really takes care of his guests in every way and makes sure, you‘re always taken good care of. I can also recommend this place as very safe for solo female travelers. "Very cozy place owned by an incredibly friendly and welcoming family. Breakfast was included in the price and it was always absolutely delicious — thanks to them, I had the chance to try several traditional Sri Lankan dishes I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Whenever I needed anything, they were quick to help and always took care of everything with a smile. Their hospitality truly made my stay feel special and comfortable. Thank you once again for such a warm and memorable experience!"

The place is located a bit farther from the main areas, so you’ll need to walk a few kilometers, take a tuk-tuk, or have your own vehicle. However, there is a small convenience shop right next to the accommodation, which is handy if you need anything. If you’re sensitive to noise at night, it might be an issue — though that’s quite common for most hostels and village houses in Sri Lanka.

"A really lovely property located in a quiet area but very close to the beach and restaurants. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We will definitely stay here during our next trip!"

"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . Ps look after Max well we will return ."
