"Location is ok, 10 minutes walk to Somerset MRT station. Cleanness was ok, not spotted but acceptable. Air conditioning worked well. As the cheapest private room with private bathroom in the whole city this place is worth its price. Good contact with owner via whatsapp. I would come back."

The owner does not treat this place like a hotel, so for example, toilet paper is replaced by the guests themselves.

Bathroom has mouldy smell, so needs to open window for ventilation. The building doesn’t have elevator, so if you have big luggage, it will be an issue to move your luggage.

"We loved our time at Malcolm Lodge. It was perfectly located on such beautiful grounds. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Paulette went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and allowed us to have friends over that we hadn't seen in 15 years. We were made to feel very welcome."

The acoustics. I had to come out several times to ask for music or speaking volume to be reduced as it would echo throughout the building to my room when I was trying to sleep.

My only complaint is about the bed… it was hanging in the middle and was really noise. Needs a new bed.

"The traditional Cypriot style and the charming little decorations perfectly matched my taste. The small balcony outside the room was so cute and cozy. The homemade meal had a unique flavor I had never experienced before and made me feel healthy. The hosts were very kind and happily explained the village bus schedule and how to get to our destinations. They gave my sister and me an unforgettable memory.
