"The property was small but very charming. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and the shower was excellent. Our beds were comfy and mosquito net, air conditioning and fan all worked well (in fact we didn't need air con at night we were cool up there in the hills(. We LOVED the open air terrace at the front which had a comfy sofa and chairs, looking out over the hills and the beautiful plants and trees. There were tame birds that came to visit at breakfast and turtle doves cooing. Beautifully peaceful. The kitchen on the terrace was very practical. We didn't go to the pool until the last day, but it too is a very peaceful place to relax and have a cold dip, lie on the sunbeds and lovely clean decking. The location (above the town of Pointe Noire in Basse-Terre) was great, well placed for the most beautiful beaches, walks and the many sights on offer. Our host was was delightful, we had good chats and and good advice on what to do. Also absolutely excellent value for money."

"The place was absoutely lovely - nothing to complain about there. The main thing to know is you must have a car... there are few buses and everywhere is at least 20 minutes drive away, if not more, including a trip down to Pointe Noire to the supermarket or (delicious) boulangerie. Restaurants get crowded at high season, so get there on the dot of noon if you want to eat and be aware that many restaurants close from 4 or 6pm. One thing we didn't bargain for was the fete days (bank holidays in English). Despite high season things were shut (including, as we found out petrol stations - and some that were open ran out of petrol on 1st Jan which was alarming, given the distances involved to find another one)."

"Super ! Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’Ilot Palmiers. Nous sommes venus avec nos enfants (9 mois et 3ans) et le logement était plus que bien équipé et adapté. Les enfants ont adoré les oiseaux sur la terrasse et nous la vue sur la mer. L’accueil d’Armel a été très chaleureux et de bons conseils. Nous recommandons vivement de passer un séjour ici."

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons apprécié la délicate attention du propriétaire avec le planteur à l’arrivée. Le logement est très agréable, entouré d’une végétation exotique et luxuriante, situé dans un quartier calme. Nous recommandons ce lieu et reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Merci!"

"Excellent accueil. Magnifique terrasse face au coucher de soleil. Lit confortable et douche spacieuse."

"Une petite odeur de renfermé quand on ferme tout la journée. Mais elle disparaît rapidement en laissant tout ouvert."

"Bon accueil, chalet avec terrasse très bien entretenu dans un environnement agréable, grande piscine. Nécessaire petit déjeuner pour le 1er jour qui est très appréciable car pas de commerces à proximité immédiate (quartier résidentiel)"

"Aboiements répétés de chiens dans le quartier qui gâchent la quiétude du lieu. Moustiquaire très incombrante et sans utilité."
